There’s a story in Australia about a group of guys trying to kill a Yowie (Bigfoots Australian cousin). The IIRC said they had one of their group injured that they left at base camp, and actually when they come back to base camp they found him killed, ripped up by this thing.
If it exists, you’re in its territory. I think it could be dangerous to provoke an encounter. This summer has probably been a real b#tch for all the forest creatures, because so many people have time off and have been heading into the more remote areas for recreation. I would expect a lot of forest and Bigfoot creatures to be under increased stress.
